From understanding the basics of trauma to the fundamentals of trauma assessment and psychological first aid our experts will cover it. Facilitators:

Stacey D. Sutherland, MA, CIC-CSp, BCC

Stacey is a Crisis Intervention Counselor and Specialist and a nationally board-certified life coach with an MA in counseling. She brings over 20 years of experience in the non-profit and humanitarian aid communities to her work in trauma recovery. She has served in over 25 countries in disaster and crisis response including Liberia, Mozambique, Dominica, Haiti, Ukraine, and Morocco. Stacey is the Executive Director for Crisis Care International, a non-profit organization providing trauma-sensitive care and training for global communities impacted by conflict, crisis, and disaster. Philip G. Monroe, PsyD

Dr. Philip Monroe is a psychologist and owner of Langberg, Monroe & Associates, a counseling center just outside of Philadelphia, PA. He has been practicing as a therapist and psychologist for more than 34 years. For 17 years, he led Missio Seminary’s Graduate School of Counseling, where he is now a visiting professor. For the past 13 years, he has held a lead consultant role with the Trauma Healing Institute. He currently serves as Vice Board Chair and a lead consultant and facilitator for Crisis Care International where he trains community leaders around the world in the basics of trauma-sensitive care.
